Get Fit for Team Sports
No matter which team sport you play, everyone in the group can improve with team
training. The
methods and techniques used will help increase fitness and conditioning,
as well as developing the squad's strength and
stamina.
We will focus on:
- Power – by strengthening the muscles around the pelvis
and spine, this produces more
power through the arms and legs. This is
essential for effective side-stepping, short sprints
and throwing movements.
- Flexibility – with greater flexibility and strength the risk of injury is reduced.
- Endurance – with improved muscular endurance, the team feel as good at the end of the
game as they did at the start.
- Balance & Co-ordination – increasing balance and
co-ordination will improve all-around
ball and game skills.
- Speed & Agility –speed and
agility sets, will increase speed under control over short
distances.
It will enhance the team's ability to make direction changes, to prepare and adapt
in match situations.
